I am about to Change your life forever! This is my favorite go to sweet treat , night before a long run treat and serious pms treat!
My Banana ice cream….. I am in love. 🙂
2 frozen bananas sliced
1/4 -1/2 cup- Almond milk
1 teaspoon – vanilla extract
1-2 Tablespoons – cacoa powder
1 tablespoon – Almond butter
Super easy to make and you can change it up and add different ingredients to your taste. Nuts, Chocolate Chips, coconut the list goes on . Oh how about a cookie in there! Yum!!
First I invested in a food processor. This one is a Kitchen aid and I am very happy with it. I know it can do so much more than I use it for but right now it serves it’s making ice-cream job.
As you can see from the picture my favorite things to add are Almond butter, Cacoa powder, vanilla extract and Almond Milk.
The night before or at least 6 hours ahead of time I slice up 2 bananas and put them in a ziplock bag and lay it flat in the freezer. The longer they are in the freezer the better.
When they are good and frozen I add the bananas , almond milk, vanilla, cacoa powder and almond butter. Now depending on your tastes and the consistency you like your ice cream , will depend on the amounts of each you add. It may take a few trial runs to perfect yours. 🙂
After I add all of the ingredients I like to run it for a minute then add more milk if I need to. Then I let it run for about 3 minutes before emptying the ice cream into my bowl. At this point you can either eat it as is or freeze it for a bit. I like to freeze it for about 30 minutes but if you eat it as is , it is like soft serve.
