Instead, here are some easy to follow steps to get you headed in the right direction and feeling more confident in your own skin.
1. Start a gratitude Journal ~ Every night before you go to bed write down two things. One, something you are thankful for in your life and two, something you love about your body. Now I know the second one might be harder than the first but trust me, it will get easier the more you do it.
2. Break a sweat ~ There are many benefits of exercise. Of all them my favorite is what it does in our brains! Endorphins are only one of many neurotransmitters released when you exercise. Physical activity also stimulates the release of dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin. These brain chemicals play an important part in regulating your mood and helping in the relief of pain and stress. I believe there is a direct link to sweating and how we feel about ourselves.
3. Buy that bikini ~ I am officially giving you permission to go shopping, (your welcome) ,and find a bathing suit that compliments your body type. It can make all the difference in the world when we are wearing clothes that fit the way they should.
Bonus #4 ~ Love your body just the way it is. You’re good enough, strong enough and beautiful enough to walk on that beach and enjoy who God created you to be. You do not have to change a thing.
